About the Journal

The Visual Arts Journal is an academic periodical whose aim is to present a wide range of studies and projects focusing on different areas of the visual arts. 

The journal is open to research that relates to various fields of the humanities (art theory and art history, philosophy, aesthetics, cultural studies, etc.) as well as to analyses of processes and phenomena in contemporary art.

The special section "Portfolio" will present artistic projects in which Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is a partner, as well as book reviews in the field of visual arts.

Visual Arts Magazine will be published twice a year (30 March and 30 September).
