Abstract

In the terminological substantiation of the issue there are author’s definitions of the terms “family socialization and upbringing”, “model of parental behavior” and “formation of the ability for effective communication in the family”. On this basis, the study presents results, analytical characteristics and conclusions from a study of the orientations of parents of preschool children about the ideal and real projects for children’s development, the characteristics of children’s social behavior, life priorities of children and parents.

    Professor, Dsc Radoslav Penev is a lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Faculty of Educational Studies and the Arts, Department of Preschool and Media Pedagogy. His scientific interests are the theory and technology of family upbringing, the interaction “educational institutions – family”, pedagogical education of parents, preschool pedagogy, the phenomenon of “aggression” in childhood. He is the author of seven monographs, ten studies and over one hundred and fifty articles and reports published in Bulgaria and abroad.
