Abstract

The GRAPHIC TRANSFORMATIONS – II (Digital and hybrid printing techniques) forum is an artistic project that was implemented in 2019 with the support of the Scientific Research Fund of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Assoc. Prof. Snezhina Biserova was the project manager, organizer and curator of the exhibitions and artistic events within the forum. Participants in the forum were distinguished Bulgarian and foreign artists who use digital technologies in their artistic and teaching practice. The project was implemented as a consecutive stage within an initiative that had been launched in 2018 and is envisaged to continue over the coming years. The aim of the 2019 forum was to present the outcomes of the teaching and artistic practice of lecturers, undergraduates and PhD students from Sofia University, the National Academy of Art as well as from leading high schools of art in Poland in the context of the current practices in contemporary graphic art.

  • Snezhina Biserova, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski

    Snezhina Biserova holds a doctoral degree and is an Associate Professor in Graphic and Technologies and Graphic Design at the faculty of Educational Studies and the Arts, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Her professional interests are in the field of printmaking, including the creation of digital prints. She has taken part in representative national and international exhibitions as well as in numerous solo exhibitions. She is the recipient of national and international art awards. Her artworks are owned by public and private collections in Bulgaria and abroad.
