"ORNAMENTS"

Abstract

Мy second solo exhibition - "ORNAMENTS" – was presented during the international festival SOFIA CHARTER ART FEST at the National Palace of Culture from 10th to 30th June. The article outlines the author's concept and the ideological and philosophical framework of the works, included in the exposition. The use of hand recycled paper plays a key role, as the process of making the paper has a special place in the concept of the works themselves – the paper is not just a medium, it is an essential element in the overall plastic solution of the works. At the same time, although in general terms, the main decorative images I use and which are largely based on traditional sign-symbol systems, are discussed.
